Droplet

Frozen for a moment,
the time seems to last forever.
Raindrops stop in mid-air,
changing into small mirrors.
Descending from the heavens,
tears splash onto asphalt,
multiplying, yet dividing,
a momentary existence.
Water hits the soft dirt,
concocting a muddy creation.
a darkened complexion,
unaided by the sun.
Umbrellas spring up like flowers,
a myriad of pedaled glory.
Rain impacting synthetic and organic,
in a fragrant potpourri.
